Small-group day trip from Tirana to Durres and Berat, plus Belsh Lake stop. Roman amphitheater, hilltop views, castle churches.

“If you’re Italian, this is a 5-star cultural delight. If you’re English-speaking, enjoy paying to be background noise. This tour was sold as English only. What we got instead was “Italian Comedy Hour with Bladey.” Right at the start, he announced there were 5 English speakers (us included) and the rest Italians. From then on, the tour turned into a live podcast… in Italian. Think The Ghost Whisperer: a spirit talks for two minutes with endless detail, and Jennifer Love Hewitt sums it up as “He says hi.” That’s exactly how our “English” explanations went. The Italians got history, banter, inside jokes. We got: “It was the backside. You couldn’t…”

“Amazing experience. 5 stars. Recommend! - very knowledgeable and informative guide tour, which is algo a very fast but safe driver! Thank you Antonio, you are amazing! - nice stops on the way to break down the journey - we were worried we wouldn't have enough time to visit the monastery or the market/bazaar or that we would be rushed the whole day, but it was super relaxed and there is time for everything - the Gjirokaster castle is definitely worth a visit - monastery and riverside park stops are a nice extra - flexible and efficient picks ups/drop offs. But WiFi/roaming is definitely needed to be in touch with…”

Off-road ATV ride from Durrës to secluded Kallmi Beach near Tirana, with challenging mountain routes, clean water stops, and great value.

“Fantastic experience and easily the best activity in Durrës. The mountain route is challenging and not for the faint-hearted, so if you’re uneasy with dangerous roads, it’s best to ride as a passenger. A valid driving licence is required to operate the quad bikes. This is probably the best quad biking experience in true mountain conditions.”

“Our tour guide Skerdi was excellent. Not only vey knowledgeable of Albanian history, but Skerdi gave us a personal insight into Albania today through sharing many perspectives from a younger generation. Skerdi personalized our trip back along the Riviera coast since he grew up there. A lover of Albanian polyphonic folk singing, we ended up driving back to Tirana singing along with a recording of his neighborhood choir. He was fun, genuine and gave us a feel for authentic Albania. Also, Skerdi was an excellent driver which we appreciated.”

The Amphitheatre is still somewhat buried, and new buildings are built over it, but what is shown is impressive. Mimoza, my guide is very knowledgeable and goes into very precise detail of each topic. Highly recommend.”
