The mountain route is challenging and not for the faint-hearted, so if you’re uneasy with dangerous roads, it’s best to ride as a passenger. A valid driving licence is required to operate the quad bikes. This is probably the best quad biking experience in true mountain conditions.”

“Done this driving experience in August this year and have to say it was one of the most thrilling experiences I done on my trip around Europe, the owner Ed firstly collected me from my hotel and took me to the base, from there we were given clear instructions on how to drive the Ladas, Genti was my guide as we took the Lada off road and he kept me right, more so he was a wealth of knowledge about the local area and the history of Albania which I found very interesting, overall I really really enjoyed this experience and would 100% do it again.”

“The drive up and down involves bouncing around in a 4x4 and winding up loose gravel tracks and watching the landscape change as you get higher. The hike is through pine forest and beautiful landscapes, with Mount Tomor looming above impressively. The castle is definitely a ruin, with no standing walls remaining, but the location is very scenic. The lunch is delicious as well, with several Albanian specialties. The guides are happy to answer any questions and have everything well organised.”
